The ECK African Seminar will be holding this weekend from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th December 2007 at the Temple of ECK, Obi Wali (Temple) Road, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. ECKists (members of ECKANKAR) from about sixteen African countries as well as the US and EU will be there.
The theme of the seminar is 'Discover The Secret Wisdom of Dreams' and the featured speaker is Mike DeLuca who will represent Sri Harold Klemp. There will be many other speakers during the course of the weekend too.
So, if any of you guys happen to be in PH during this weekend, why not pop in at the Temple, learn one or two new things and who knows, we may get to meet. (Just put your nose in the air and 'smell' (thats what you do with the nose, right?) for the bespectacled guy wearing Davidoff Cool Water).
To get to the Temple no hard at all. From any where in PH, call a cab (or bike) and just say 'Temple!'. There is only one.
I look forward to seeing ya face in da place! (Been a long time since I used that)
OK. Please, please do come! You will?. Oh, Thank you.

Nice Post, Merry X-Mass ;-)
Had a friend in A-levels who was a member. I was very curious and he explained a lot .e.g like the name of God. Forgive my ignorance, but is it a derivative of christianity? Is it a religion or would it be better described as a way of life?
@CWB: many thanx for the lovely wishes and I wish you very much the same from here. Been expecting your call o!
@Kawana: Many thanx Sis. Had a friend in Pry school called Aminata. She was from Senegal. Are you?
@Jinta: Bros, thanx for checking in. In ECKANKAR, we recognize HU (pronounced as Hue/Hugh) as the sacred name of GOD. It is the sound in all sounds and reverberates through the whole Universes.
For the purposes of simplicity (and taxation etc, etc) ECKANKAR is the Religion of the Light and Sound of GOD. It is registered as a religion in the US and Nigeria and in most countries where there are ECKists. Thus there are three 'official' religions in Nigeria: Islam, Christianity and ECKANKAR (in chronological order).
Make we no talk too much, please visit www.eckankar.org for more info.
I so missed men...next year sha
Seasons Greetings, and Happy New yam! lol!
Hi there
I wonder if you can help me out. I heard that the official opening of the really really big Eckankar temple in Nigeria is taking place this year.
Can someone tell me a little more about this? I'm an Eckist living near Toronto in Canada and my wife Heather wants to check this out, and others are talking about it, but I can't seem to find much info on it, including the Nigerian Eckankar website.
If someone can email me at nikobilz@gmail.com I would appreciate your assistance.
thanks and all the best,
In Eck,
Marc
