Re-branding: A D-I-Y Guide

My Naija peeps,

Ever since the news broke on this Bernie Maddof's scam (Ponzi, Hedge - same difference), how many Americans have you called up to talk about America being a land of scammers and how afraid you are to even talk to them or counting your money near them?

What?

None?

Exactly. You don't go around calling people names and you know the difference between one person's greed and a people's aspirations. Your Mama taught you better than that.

I am so proud of you.

The next time some e.diot gets in your face and wants to talk about some 'Nigerian' scams or what not, just look at him from head to toe (you know how) and let out one of those famous long hisses or just pronounce him 'F-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-l' in your best Talab Abass voice.

Better still, you can just re-brand his face with a dirty slap.

[At your own risk sha]

Exactly. I will apply your suggestion and let you know the result. Hopefully it won't be after they have taken a mugshot, sha.

Lol. Very well said. Nigerians would hardly ever talk down others except their own kin so I hope they take your advice.

@Kafo: First you are indeed. [Bell-o-blessings]. That's why there is a caveat. Many thanx for your comments.
@Speza: You think so?
@Chairlady: Real good memories too. I just had that voice in my head all day long. Many thanx.
@JustT: No go try am o.
@Sydelle: Abeg o! Before they now come and say Naija peeps are going round 're-branding' people. Well, I have put a caveat sha. Many thanx for your comments.
@Artsville: Of course, we too get 'home training' when it comes to outsiders but are so quick to run down our own, even without provocation. May GOD help all of us. Many thanx.

"...some e.diot gets in your face and wants to talk..." unfortunately many of this class are full breed Nigerians themselves.

In that case, i would rather 'you not even dignify them with a response whatsoever'. They will be so shocked 'cos they simply will not believe.

By the time that happens a couple time, one of two will happen; they either stop peddling dishonourable thots about our dear nation or they simply go about celebrating the gospel of good moments (times & thing) of Nigeria.
